Welcome to By Her, a surfboard label rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality. "By Her" stands for Hayden Ettore Rovelli, a name that carries my journey from shaping surfboards in the basement of my college house in New Haven, Connecticut, to honing my craft in the heart of Rhode Island.

I started shaping in 2022, turning my passion into a hands-on pursuit of design and functionality. Those early days were filled with resin fumes and trial-and-error experiments, shaping and glassing boards in a space that became a sanctuary for creativity.

In 2024, I moved to Rhode Island and had the privilege of apprenticing under Matt Alpough at Ridan Engineering Co. This experience deepened my understanding of precision and innovation, pushing me to explore the limits of what a surfboard could be.

By Her is inspired by the unconventional—experimental designs, unique shapes, and the pursuit of something that stands apart. Every board I create carries that ethos: an intention to not just ride waves but to connect with them in a way that’s deeply personal and authentic.
